Centurions v Fen Tigers Preview

The Plymouth SWTR Centurions return to track action at The Coliseum tomorrow in an NDL League Fixture against the 2021 NDL Double winners the Mildenhall Fen Tigers.

The Tigers will be led by ex Gladiator Jason Edwards; who is fulfilling his massive potential with a stellar season in 2022 that has seen him promoted into the top 5 in his Championship Team the Redcar Bears, become one of the most sought after Championship Guests at Championship level and recently named as the “Rising Star” No 7 in the Premiership with Kings Lynn. A regular too now in the Polish Under 24 League too for Grudziadz; Jason is very much the figurehead of the Fen Tigers and always a welcome visitor to The Coliseum.

He is backed up by James Shanes; a recent recruit who currently also rides for Birmingham in the Championship and an accomplished world class Grass and Long-Track rider and Jack Kingston, who has returned to Speedway after a long absence in recent months and who is scoring big points for the Tigers in a very impressive return to the sport. The Tigers Squad should also include Alex Spooner and Sam Beebee who are both enjoying good seasons after injury ravaged recent seasons and accomplished MotoCross rider and a recent recruit to Speedway in Josh Warren and young Luke Muff at reserve.

The SWTR Centurions bring in Plymouth Westcolour Gladiator Ben Morley as a Guest for the injured Dan Gilkes, welcome back Adam Extance and recent recruit Rhys Naylor, who made a an eye catching return after a decade out of the sport in the last Home Match and feature another new recruit and returning rider David Abraham at reserve in a revamped Team missing Connor King and Eli Meadows.

The SWTR Centurions will line up with Ben Morley, Adam Extance, Ben Trigger, Ben Phillips, the revitalised and in form Richard Andrews, David Abraham and Rhys Naylor.

After recent postponements of the Championship Fixtures against Newcastle and Glasgow this will be the first Speedway action at The Coliseum for 3 long weeks, so we hope to see a healthy Crowd to see and cheer on the SWTR Centurions.

The Plymouth Westcolour Gladiators return to Championship action at Oxford on Wednesday evening and we will have a Preview of that Match tomorrow and a Review of the SWTR Centurions Match on Wednesday morning.
