Leicester Lions Cubs

Tonight (Friday May 10th) the Plymouth Jarvis Nuclear Gladiators host the Leicester Lion Cubs in National League at the Plymouth Coliseum.

It’s the Gladiators first National League fixture of the season and it sees the return of former (Plymouth Devils) Ellis Perks. Team manager Mattie Bates said: “tonight we welcome back Ellis Perks who was with the team last season and is also the current National League track record holder, so I’m sure he hasn’t forgotten the quickest way around the Coliseum”.

The Gladiators see the return of Richard Andrews to action, after he suffered a broken bone in his foot at the Gladiators first home meeting of the season, which Bates said has come at an ideal time as Jamie Bursill and Scott Campos are still injured.

Bates also added “we’ve had three meetings so far and won two of them so we’ll obviously be looking for a home win. It isn’t going to be a walk in the park as Leicester have a solid team and we still have 2 riders on the injured list.

We welcome Sheldon Davies into the team tonight who comes in as a guest replacement for Jamie Bursill and we’ll be running rider replacement for Scott”.

Tonight’s action kicks off at 7:15pm with gates opening at 5:45pm.
