Garry May joins The Gladiators
Plymouth Atkins Financial Management Gladiators have brought in the highly experienced Garry May as Team Manager for the remainder of the 2021 season.
May has been tremendously successful over a number of seasons as manager of the Somerset Rebels, masterminding a number of trophy winning campaigns, but with the recent announcement of the Rebels permanent closure, Gladiators’ promoter, Mark Phillips has swooped to bring May in.
Current team manager, Mattie Bates, will assist May with team management duties as well as concentrating on his role as co-promoter.
Bates welcomed the move saying ‘Garry’s record speaks for itself and it is a real coup to get him on board’.
May’s first match in charge will be on Tuesday when Berwick Bandits visit the Coliseum. Tickets for the match, which must be pre-booked, are available via the online booking portal here.
