The Pirates progress in KO Cup

The Pirates are a formidable side on their home patch and so it proved as they roared to a  58-32 victory on the night and an aggregate 106 – 74 win overall.

The Westcolour Gladiators were indebted to a sterling effort from Cornish-born Guest Chris Harris; who plundered an excellent 13 points from 5 rides as Guest replacement for the unfortunate Edward Kennett who suffered nasty arm injuries the previous night. 

Michael Palm Toft and Hans Andersen both showed some glimmers of their massive point scoring potential with a win each on the night, but both of these international stars will no doubt be a little frustrated with some niggling machine issues and will surely improve dramatically in the weeks ahead.  

All of the Westcolour Gladiators chipped in with points but the Pirates spearheaded again by Richard Lawson and Steve Worrall and with home reserve Drew Kemy excelling on his official Home debut were always in control of the match.
