Bears take all the points.

The Redcar Bears took the meeting victory and the aggregate bonus point back to Teeside with a 41-49 victory over the Gladiators, who lost Skipper Ben Barker with a suspected collarbone / shoulder injury after a first bend crash in heat 12.  

In a nip and tuck meeting, the first at the Coliseum in 8 weeks, the Bears had built a four point lead by heat seven before the Gladiators pegged it back to 2 points, following a 4-2 in heat 8, which saw a second heat win for new reserve James Pearson. 

Three shared heats followed before the pivotal moment of the meeting in heat 12, which saw Barker excluded following his crash.  After a delay whilst the Gladiators skipper received treatment, the Bears took a 5-1 heat advantage in the rerun, before Kyle Howarth and Richie Worrall returned the favour in heat 13, but a further 5-1 from Jason Edwards and Erik Riss in the penultimate race, and a 4-2 from Danny King and Riss, saw the Bears take victory on the night and all the points.
