Brummies take the points
The Birmingham Brummies took the Cab Direct Championship points with a 42-47 victory over the Plymouth Prow Park Gladiators in another close encounter at The Coliseum.
The Brummies led throughout the meeting from the first heat, and despite the Gladiators clawing their way back to a one point deficit by heat 11, successive Birmingham heat advantages in heats 12 and 13 helped secure the victory.
RIchie Worrall top scored for the home team with 14+2, backed by Ben Barker (13) and Dan Gilkes with 9.
