The Gladiators were well beaten in this Knock Out Cup 2^nd leg match at Wimborne Road.

It was always going to be an uphill task with Poole taking an eight-point aggregate lead from the first leg. With Jason Crump unavailable after his crash at Plymouth the previous evening, Craig Cook stepped in as a guest rider and he provided two of Plymouth’s three race wins on the night.

The meeting started promisingly with Cook and Dillon Ruml taking a 4-2 advantage in Heat One, but it proved to be the Gladiators’ only heat advantage of the night.

Poole steadily increased their lead and three successive 5-1s in the final three heats only rubbed salt into the wounds and saw them comfortably through to the next round.
