Plymouth Gladiators Promoter Mark Phillips has confirmed; that whilst some positive steps have been made to secure the Clubs future participation in the Championship League for 2024, there is still a fair way to go before he can travel to the Sports AGM with the certainty that he needs.
The Clubs new Commercial Manager Paul Swarbrick has made substantial strides in securing financial commitments for 2024 primarily from Supporters and Supporters Groups and some new initiatives; and Phillips is immensely grateful for the support pledged to date from the Clubs hard core support to secure the future of Speedway in the Ocean City.
However, the Club are now keener than ever; to reach out to local and national small, medium and larger businesses to explain the national and global reach that the Sport has, the extensive televised and specialist streaming service reach and the opportunity to offer a mutually beneficial advertising and corporate visibility packages at extremely affordable and competitive rates.
Phillips is keen to emphasise the excellent location of the Clubs Coliseum Arena adjacent to, and visible from the A38 Eastbound and the large traffic flow that offers to would be advertisers and it’s location very close to the large Marsh Mills retail development and excellent public and local transport links to the City Centre and major road networks linking to Cornwall, Devon and the South of England.

The Club are keen to sell “Match Sponsorship” opportunities that will guarantee extensive coverage and opportunity and a significant number of free Match Tickets for would be sponsors to entertain employees and Clients and to showcase their products. The Stands at the Stadium, all of which are visible from the A38 and on all marketing material and on live TV / Streaming are also available for Corporate Branding at very affordable rates and the Club is still actively seeking a Branding Partner for the Team and Media and Community Functions.
Phillips is perhaps most excited by the switch to Saturday night Racing in 2024. He confirmed that this will mean the club will be able to grow and enhance their already well established Community Programme, to encourage more families to the Sport and to also encourage more businesses to showcase their products to local families and further afield.
