Tough night for The Gladiators

The Plymouth Prow Park Gladiators suffered a tough night at Wimborne Road, as the Poole Pirates delivered a gating master class with a 59-30 victory in the BSN series.

The Pirates scorched to a 25 point lead after 6 heats, before Ben Barker became the first Gladiator to beat a home rider in heat seven.

Barker, who top scored (8+1) along with Richie Worrall (8) teamed up with Paul Starke in heat 10 to deliver the only Gladiators maximum heat advantage of the evening.
