Gladitors v Brummies Postponed

The Plymouth Westcolour Gladiators have made an early decision based on various Weather reports to cancel this evening’s planned fixture v Birmingham Brummies.

Following some significant rain in the past 48 hours and rain overnight and with various forecasts all indicating significant and heavy rain from around 5-6pm the decision has been made to avoid riders, officials and supporters any unnecessary travel.

Promoter and Club Director Mark Phillips said,

We have been monitoring conditions after a damp weekend left the track quite heavy. Had it been a dry or drying day we would have been OK but after overnight rain and a particularly bad forecast from around teatime we thought an early cancellation was the best move.

It’s particularly disappointing after an excellent Crowd saw another entertaining Match last week but we’ll rearrange and announce the revised date for this Fixture as soon as possible.

The next Fixture at The Coliseum will see the SWTR Centurions race against the Oxford Chargers in NDL action next Tuesday, this is a Fixture rearranged from the original draft Fixture list and the Championship chasing Plymouth Westcolour Gladiators next Home match will be in 2 weeks time on Tuesday 21st June against the Newcastle Diamonds.  Tickets for BOTH Fixtures will go ON SALE tomorrow morning.

The Westcolour Gladiators and swtr Centurions are next in action Away; at Leicester on Saturday evening; in their respective Championship and NDL Fixtures and we’ll have a full Preview of both matches on Friday morning.

All those who have purchased advance Tickets for this Evenings cancelled Fixture will be contacted via e-mail by 6pm today.
