The SWTR Centurions return to NDL action at MIldenhall tomorrow after a break and with significant alterations to the top end of the Team.

Dan Gilkes remains in Hospital awaiting an operation on his badly damaged arm. The good news is that Dan is making slow but steady recovery from his punctured lung and 5 broken ribs and is in good spirits and we all wish him and his family the best of luck. As Dan has a long-term injury a Guest facility is allowed and with Dan being the highest averaged rider in the NDL the Club will have a good choice of options. 

Henry Atkins has decided to leave the Club at Championship and NDL level to explore opportunities elsewhere in the Sport, everyone at the Club wish Henry, and his father Mike the very best of luck and particularly thank them for their wonderful support of the Club, both on and off the Track over the past few seasons. Due to Henry officially leaving the club a replacement rider is being sought by Mattie and the management team.

The remaining 5 riders will be joined tomorrow by Jordan Jenkins, a former Mildenhall rider and one of the leading NDL riders as a guest for Dan and at the time of writing a replacement for Henry has yet to be confirmed.

Richard Andrews, Adam Extance, Connor King, Ben Trigger and Eli Meadows make up the rest of the SWTR Centurions septet.

The Mildenhall Fen Tigers are led by the outstanding young British prospect Jason Edwards who had a spell with the Gladiators last season and guested for Dan at Glasgow recently for the Westcolour Gladiators putting in an excellent performance. 

He is joined in a strong looking tigers side by Ryan Kinsley who is a formidable opponent at NDL level, the fast improving Alex Spooner and Sam Beebee who is having an excellent spell free from some serious injuries that have blighted his career but which we all hope are firmly in the past. 

The Tigers also have the emerging talents of Luke Muff and Josh Warren, a protege of ex-British Champion Danny King and another who is making eye-catching progress in the Sport. They are joined by recent acquisition Jack Kingston who has returned to the paid ranks after retiring around 7 years ago, but whose enthusiasm has been rekindled in Amateur Speedway over the past few years and who seems to be quickly regaining the form that made him a real prospect around a decade ago.

We’ll have a Meeting review on Monday, together with a preview of the Westcolour Gladiators v Berwick Bandits Championship League clash on Tuesday night at The Coliseum with all the Team News and remember that Tickets are on sale now for this Clash via the Club website, and via the following link here with Cash and Card payment facilities available at the Turnstiles on the Night. 

A big welcome is anticipated for the Westcolour Gladiators new reserves Ben Morley and Harry McGurk whose signings were confirmed yesterday and of course the Bandits are led by the ever popular multi times British Champion and Speedway GP Round winner Chris “Bomber” Harris, always hugely popular with Devonian, Cornish and Somerset based supporters.
